PayIt Payroll is a high-quality, family operated business based in Rochester, NY. We are dedicated to providing prudent services and financial advice to families and businesses. We strive to build and maintain long-lasting business relationships.

Our humble beginnings date back to the 1960’s, from owner George P. Klee?s basement. Our current headquarters is located in Rochester, NY with satellite office located in Suffolk, VA.

The Klee Group knows that both businesses and individuals can achieve their goals by taking sensible steps. We can eliminate the weekly hassle of payroll for your firm by managing this responsibility for you with professionalism, confidence and honesty.

PAYIT PAYROLL, INC. was founded in 2004 as an adjunct to the George Peter Klee, CPA LLC. The reason for forming the business was to satisfy the demands from our tax and accounting customers asking for one central business area to complete their administrative accounting requirements.

The accounting and tax end of the business was started in 1984 when Pete Klee purchased the business from Thomas Hall.

Pete graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1950 and St. Bonaventure University in 1955. He spent two years in the US Army. He worked for Rochester Products a Division of General Motors from 1957 until 1964 when he joined the Xerox Corporation. He stayed with Xerox until 1984 when he started his small accounting and tax service business.

Pete is a Certified Public Accountant and has over 45 years experience in the accounting and tax services. He worked in payroll, general ledger and cost accounting during his tenure at Rochester Products; he was the manager of general accounting, a project accountant and was the controller of the maintenance and construction department at Xerox.

Pete and his wife Joan are the parents of seven children, eighteen grand-children and seven great grand-children. Some of these children and grand-children are employees of the Klee Group.

Title – Senior Tax Manager

Background & Experience – Part of The Klee Group since 2003, Chris is the senior tax manager in the Tax Division. His experience includes working with domestic companies ranging in size from small to mid-market privately held companies. In addition to specializing in state and federal tax planning, he has advised on numerous acquisitions and tax issues involving the IRS. Chris is adept at developing proactive strategies at corporate, shareholder and owner levels, to minimize his clients’ tax liabilities and maximize their asset growth. He is also very hands on in developing and maintaining his client relationships. “If they succeed I succeed”. Prior to joining The Klee Group, Chris spent six years developing his tax and business background at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Rochester, The Bonadio Group and AI Sigl Center.
On the Personal Side – Chris and his wife Cheri have two children: Cameron, and Caitlin. In his free time you might find him coaching his son’s baseball team or his daughter’s basketball team. You might also find him golfing or just hanging out with his friends.

Title – Accountant

Background & Experience – Mark joined the Klee Group in 2009 after working as a claim examiner for the United States Navy JAG office in Norfolk VA. Mark is a retired veteran of the United States Navy. His military specialty was in the finance field; providing payroll service, preparing disbursement and collection vouchers, bank reconciliation, and periodic financial reports. Mark?s fort? or area of concentration is improvement of office efficiency by eliminating or reducing redundancies which hamper production.
On the Personal Side – Mark splits time between Rochester NY and his home office in Suffolk, Va.
Education – B.A., Business Administration (cum laude) – Saint Leo University

Title – Head Payroll Clerk

Background & Experience – Tom joined the Klee Group in 2005. He is responsible for processing payroll, disability, and workers compensation claims.
On the Personal Side – Tom?s life away from work revolves around the bowling alley, achieving a few perfect games! He is a member of the American Bowling Congress.
Education – A.A.S., Accounting – Rochester Business Institute

Title – Payroll Clerk/Receptionist

Background & Experience – Lisa joined the Klee Group in 2009. She is responsible for processing payroll, and general office duties. Prior to joining the Klee Group, she spent the past 10 years working with children as a Pre-School instructor.
On the Personal Side – Lisa?s past times include water sports at her grandparent?s cottage. She also likes to hang out with her family and friends and especially loves her nephews!!

Title – Office Manager

Background & Experience – Mary joined the Klee Group in 2009, assuming responsibility for general office functions, sales and customer relations. Prior to joining the senior management team of the Klee Group, Ms. Lippa was the Director of Development and Communications at Wilson Commencement Park, a local not-for-profit organization. She additionally held various positions at the Al Sigl Center and Highland Hospital.
Community Service Involvement – Mary is very active in supporting many local community service organizations.
On the Personal Side – Mary has five children and five grandchildren, and is married to Rod Koziatek, Vice President and CFO of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies. In addition to their current positions, Rod and Mary are owners of an antique establishment called Sugar Hill Country Barn located in the Southern Tier of New York State.
Education – A.A.S., – Monroe Community College
